Fluke Thermography Workshop

Thermography has been around for a number of decades. It used to be expensive, difficult, and primarily used by large industrial facilities and military. The high price tag of the thermal imagers had led many companies to outsource thermography inspections only once a year. Today, thermal imager is becoming much more affordable, easier to use and more broadly applied.

Taking thermal images and gathering thermal information is quite easy these days with the introduction of new and powerful thermal images. Simply push the auto button and there is an image!

While this is simple on the surface, the real works require that the thermographer understands the object of interest, how it operates, the heat transfer within and to the surface of the object, how to adjust the camera to enhance the thermal details necessary to evaluate the image once it is stored and downloaded onto the computer. Next, report has to be accurate, clearly presented and easy to read by the maintenance personnel.

Participants of this workshop will have hands-on experience in using thermal imager to explore the science behind thermography, learn how to capture quality infrared images and interpret what the image is revealing. In addition, participants will learn how to use powerful software for in-depth analysis of the images and generate quality reports that guide maintenance personnel toward solving the root cause of the thermal problem.
